Groves Update
Prayer/Praise Report - May 2008
Prayer requests:
- Continue to pray for our home to sell.
- Our last Sunday at JBC is May 4. We will begin driving back to TX on Tuesday, May 6, to finish up our support prior to our departure to Spain on July 18.
- Lanny travels to Chicago to pick up our Spanish visas on May 2.
- We have 72% of our monthly support committed. Pray with us that that the Lord will raise up the additional $2,100 in monthly support we need to be released to the field.
- Please pray for all our children in our upcoming move. They will all react differently to leaving friends here, living out of suitcases for awhile, and then moving to Spain. Pray we as parents can help them transition well and recognize any emotional needs they have.
Praises:
- Praise the Lord Seth's GI issues appear to be resolved.
- Lanny had a great visit with old friends and supporters in HI, while Stacey and the kids enjoyed their time packing out our house for our pending move:. We praise the Lord for those whom I shared the ministry with on the island.
- We thank the Lord for one last support meeting in KY. We will be meeting with several families in the Ft. Knox area on Sunday May 4, at 2pm.
- We are grateful to finally break the 70% mark in committed support and look with great anticipation as the Lord brings in the remaining support.
- God "showed up" (to quote Forest Gump) concerning our airline tickets - on American, we were shocked to discover that it would cost twice as much as we planned ($15,000!). Our great travel agent looked to other airlines, and now we're paying half as much as we planned ($3500!) on United. To God be the glory!
