Groves Update
Prayer/Praise Report - June 2008
Prayer requests:
- Continue to pray for our KY home to sell.
- Lanny preaches at FBC Coppell on Sunday, June 1; pray for an effective time in the Word, and interest in our ministry from the folks there. After church I drive back to KY to load our container for Spain.
- We have over 80% of our monthly support committed. Pray with us that the Lord will raise up the additional $1,500 in monthly support we need this month.
- Please pray for all our children in our move. Their levels of understanding about what we're doing are all different! Pray for wisdom in meeting their needs and for a smooth adjustment for them in Spain.
- We have several important upcoming meetings. Please be praying that we will be diligent with our time and have ample opportunities to share the ministry with the end result of committed monthly supporters.
Praises:
- We are grateful to break the 80% mark in committed support and look with great anticipation as the Lord brings in the remaining support!
- We praise God for these final weeks in TX visiting family, friends, finishing up our support and tying up loose ends in anticipation for our move.
- We were extremely encouraged with what the Lord did on Sun, May 25, as we were presented at Denton Bible Church. At the second service we were overrun with interested people! So much so that I had to order more material for our future meetings. Many people gave gifts on the spot for a total of $3,505; many others said they would be sending in gifts. Praise Him!
- We have purchased our airline tickets to Spain. We leave for Chicago on Thur 17 July and will spend the weekend with Stacey's brother, connect with some supporters there, and then off to Spain on the 21st. Please be praying hard on the 21st as this will be a very difficult travel day with five children. We land in Frankfurt around 7 am (around midnight Central time), then onto Spain… Total travel time will be over 18 hours!
Thanks for your prayers and interest in what the Lord is doing in us and through us!
In Service to Him,
The Groves Family
